Viewstation 128, 512, 512MP

After launching in 1998 at a price 80% lower than their PictureTel rivals, video conferencing suddenly became affordable for all, and the Polycom Viewstation rapidly became the de-facto standard for corporate video conferencing worldwide. Branded in Europe as Polyspan, the Viewstation range remained the system of choice until the launch of the VSX range in 2004.

Polycom produced an extremely reliable system that rarely breaks down so it represents a safe and prudent alternative to buying new. All Viewstations offer H.263 based video conferencing over IP at up to 768k and differ only in their ISDN configuration. The Viewstation 128 connects at 128k, the 512 at 512k, and the 512 MP includes 4-way ISDN mutipoint capability.

None of the models in this range support H.264 so look at the Polycom Viewstation EX, FX, VS4000 range if you need his capability.
