How We WorkOur main line of business is providing new, end of line, and second hand Polycom (previously known in Europe as Polyspan) Viewstation & VSX series video conferencing equipment. We usually have available from stock the full range of original Viewstations covering the SP range, the 128, 512, MP range and the EX, FX, VS4000.
The VSX series is starting to become available to us - we have had VSX 5000, 6000 and 7000 systems sporadically in stock but as they are now end-of-life they should become more readily available. please call if you are interested in this range from Polycom. Our new systems come with a 12-month warranty and our used systems are fully tested, upgraded to latest firmware and are offered with a 30-day no fuss warranty, optionally upgradeable to 12 months.
If you need a Polycom system which is not available from current stock, we can usually source it within 2-3 weeks. We will of course keep you posted regarding progress of your order on a regular basis.
We also frequently have available systems from other manufacturers such as Sony, Radvision, Accord, Tandberg, Aethra, Vcon, Zydacron, PictureTel etc. If you don't see what you are looking for please contact us with your requirements and we will get back with a view on how easy it might or might not be to source. |
Shipping PolicyFor UK Mainland weekday deliveries we use City Link (an Initial Rentokil company) to provide a next day service at fixed cost of just £9.50. At extra cost we can provide timed deliveries by 07:30, 09:00, 10:30 or 12:00 plus shipments to offshore UK destinations - please phone 01288 361522 for a quote.
They are a company that specialise in electronics shipments to business. Their policy is to make delivery attempts to the designated address on two consecutive days and if they find no-one in then a card will be left asking you to call your local City Link depot to re-arrange the delivery. If after 7 days you have not made contact the parcel will be returned to us. Of course we will be happy to send your order to an alternative address if you prefer. For smaller time-critical packages, we sometimes use Royal Mail Special Delivery.
For other Worldwide destinations we either use Fedex or, if not time-critical, Euroad, European Road Service - please call for a shipping quote. |
DownloadsUntil the launch of the VSX range Polycom had always made software firmware updates for the Viewstation range of video conferencing systems available for free download. This practice has unfortunately now been stopped and all VSX software downloads are only available for systems covered by a support contract.
It is also difficult to get hold of anything but the latest revisions of the software for what Polycom call their 'legacy' systems and there are occasions when previous revisions are either desirable or needed. For instance, we think that version 7.24 for the Viewstation is the most recent stable load to come out of Polycom, not 7.52 or 7.54. Also when upgrading an early system from up to version 4 software, version 7.xx causes the system to hang, so either do the upgrade in 2 stages using 6.51 first, or if the system is hung go back to 6.51 before going on to version 7.xx.
